BY YOU® was founded in 2005 by Michaela Harbert, though her DVD Kit, “Countertop Transfauxmations,” was in the making for some eleven years.
Michaela studied interior design in Ohio and started a faux finishing company in 1995. She built her business over a number of years and expanded her knowledge of paint products and different media. She painted everything from murals on swimming pools, linoleum floors, tile, furniture and walls to plaster columns, painted a faux alabaster and concrete floors to look like marble, and on….. Her ability to transform the plain and ugly into stunningly beautiful, sent her small business soaring. |
