Painting Laminate Counter Tops with Burns

You will be pleased to know that you can paint a laminate counter top to disguise seriously burned areas to the point you would hardly know it was there. This piece of laminate was set on fire and left to burn until the plastic laminate bubbled and exploded leaving a large hole. The wood underneath was not damaged so it was given a granite faux finish following the four steps but we chose not fill the hole with epoxy just for the sake of illustration. You can see how well a rag roll covers such blemishes.   NOTE: If you have a similar situation, I recommend before you paint a laminate counter top you do use a filler as this would refine the entire countertop makeover.
