"I had purchased a condo at the beach, and the kitchen was HORRIBLE! With melamine cabinets and an ugly beige countertop, I knew I had to do something, but didn't want to spend a goldmine! I stripped the cabinets and repainted them white, put on new stainless handles, and then faux finished the countertop after purchasing your DVD. I've never done any faux finishing of anything before but this project has given me the confidence to redo even the living room furniture!"

PS...a contractor came into the condo, and he was drawn right to the countertop, with his mouth hanging open he finally asked......."that's not paint is it?".............lol........he said he had to get within ten feet to know it wasn't stone!

The faux painting is a little tricky but your directions are extremely helpful and the CD is money well spent. I was very pleased that you wanted to use the pictures I sent, on your web site. Because of your wonderful DVD, I will be able to re-do our entire bathroom counter tops. I am in the process of redoing my husbands bath and when finished will have one more to go. ( At first, he told me I was not 'touching' his bathroom. ) When I finished with the first bath, he changed his mind. You have saved us thousands of dollars. The project is fun and rewarding. I got so excited about doing my bathroom counter, that I forgot to take a before picture. It turned out great, very easy, and Fun!!! However, now that it is done, I see that I should have used a brighter white than I did. What should I do to try again? Do I sand the new finish down to the bonding primer layer? Should I just sand to rough it up a bit and then follow the four step process again? Do I need to let it sit for a few weeks and then try again? The finish is absolutely beautiful, it's just that the white is not quite bright enough. It was not a problem with the process, just a mistake on my part with color selection. Thanks for your time.
